You rock—thanks for taking a look at Mosaic!

Baron Fig started as a project between friends. We love making things. We know there are others out there that feel the same way. It’s our mission to empower them to create and inspire the world.

Our roots stem back into the community, to a backer-fueled Kickstarter project. We designed our notebooks, the hardcover Confidant and pocket Apprentice, by listening to the thoughts and ideas of creators of all types, both professional and hobbyists.

You now have the next iteration of Baron Fig in your hands. Mosaic is our first journey into the digital realm—and we’re extremely excited to get started.

Together, with your feedback, we’re going to make this the best idea and note app we possibly can. We hope you enjoy it so far, and we look forward to our journey ahead.

Pros and cons of Mosaic. app for iPhone and iPad

Mosaic. app good for

this app is ... potentially ... great, even genious in simplicity, basic logic & (pl)ease of use! the modular notes is unique & just unsurmounted in ease & usefulness. BUT to have a quality notebook that wants to promote lean usage of ressources to go digital and NOT have copy (esp for full pages), no search(!) and no export (its boxed in!) is ... underwhelming. ... so, one of those apps you would love to love. but it makes it a real test of loyality. ... but then: Baron Fig is just starting & responsive folks!
Finally a digital notebook that allows you to breakup an entry into moveable sections with images and text all while being beautifully readable and easy to use. I’m hoping further development would lead to having multiple ‘books’ with their own pages. Just like having a physical notebook for recipes, and another for project planning, etc - a digital form of a notebook collection to better organize their pages apart from each other. Another addition that would have me use this exclusively would be iCloud support to a desktop client for note taking. I’m already fed up with Evernote’s lack of entry organization and overall clutter for text entries, this would really tidy up my digital note jotting and organization. Keep up the awesome work Baron Fig, looking forward to future updates and iterations both in hard and soft ware
Mosaic is perfect. Simple, like their beautiful notebooks, this app is exactly what the modern creative needs to focus among chaos. I love the simple organization features, the design, and the signature Baron Fig balance of form and function. Would like to see backup options, but 100% will recommend.
Great job! Beautifully implemented. Would love to see as a universal App with iCloud integration.
Love using this app, totally easy to use and beautiful to look at. Only suggestion is option of adding a passcode lock (like in simplenote)
Fresh e-notebook, friendly interface. Good option to make a photo. Necessary to: 1. Add export, send to sms or e-mail note;

Some bad moments

I just downloaded Mosaic and it looks ok, but without cloud backup/sync (Dropbox or Evernote preferred) it wont be very useful to me. No one wants to lose all their notes if they lose their phone. And new note entry appears under the on-screen keyboard. Thats just lame.
Just met the founder. Great app and they also make paper notebooks. Check em out!
This is a perfect little note-taking app for those who love simplicity. There’s two things stopping this from becoming perfect. First the color purple. It looks girly to the point where my girlfriend asked me what the heck the app was when she saw me using it and was surprised. Definitely needs to be a more unisex color or have color options. Second, I personally don’t like the 1-line preview you get in the “My Pages” list. For instance if I have the grocery list it gives me the page title and then whatever the first list item is. It’s not like in an email where the subject is important. The first item of a page is usually no more important than the others. This gets especially annoying when the first page item is a picture as it displays the photo in the “My Pages” tab, taking up a lot of space. Getting rid of previews (or making it an option) would make that list look way cleaner! Just two things keeping it from perfection - otherwise well done!
Beautiful app, intuitive design, and most importantly - its simple. I have been waiting for something like this. Its my new go-to app for taking notes on the go. Thank you!
Notes/lists is a crowded field, and this is the first app Ive seen set itself apart since Clear. Add custom colors and sync (heres a vote for Evernote sync) and itll be perfect.
I was able to fully reorganize my notes from a native app, and get rid of tens of standalone one-word or one-sentence notes. This app is magnificent. Its has all the functionality you need and you dont need much. It is beautiful and works seamlessly. Thank you for this app.
